DBT Skills Group

Dialectical Behavior Therapy is an evidence-based, skills-focused therapy based on the four following modules: (1) mindfulness, (2) interpersonal effectiveness, (3) emotion regulation, and (4) distress tolerance.

A DBT Skills Group is a seamless adjunct to individual therapy as it primarily focuses on the development of skills you can immediately apply to your day-to-day, making more space for in-depth work in your one-on-one therapy. Though, you are not required to be in individual therapy to take part in the DBT Skills Group.*

DBT Skills Groups are not support groups nor process groups, and they are not a replacement for individual therapy - you can think of them like weekly classes where you learn skills to manage stressors, emotions, and relationships. The groups will be interactive, and there will be opportunities to share current stressors and receive individualized support on how to apply DBT skills to your situation.

Our DBT Group will begin mid-2024 on Zoom.** To receive updates on the DBT group’s start date, please fill out a contact form.

We will begin with a one-on-one intake assessment to discuss your goals, specific behaviors you want to work on, gather your history, and make sure this group is appropriate for the level of support you need.

The Investment: The prerequisite intake session is a one-time payment of $225 and only applies to new clients of the practice. All group sessions thereafter are $75/session. Superbills will be provided for insurance reimbursement.

If you are ready to book your intake assessment, fill out a contact form here. If you would like more information prior to moving forward, schedule a free 15-minute consultation here.

*A participant with a “high-risk” history in the last calendar year must be in individual therapy to partake in this DBT group.

**You must be based in NY, NJ, or FL to participate in this DBT group.
