Sara Housley, MHC-LP

Sara’s approach is nonjudgmental, collaborative, and individually tailored to complement her client’s needs and goals in treatment. She aims to work flexibly and transparently to encourage her clients’ unique histories in a safe and therapeutic environment. Sara works from an allied, multiculturally sensitive, and trauma-informed perspective. Her style is primarily psychodynamic, though she integrates other frameworks, including internal family systems (IFS), inner child work, relational psychotherapy, person-centered therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Sara helps individuals with a wide array of concerns including anxiety, depression, difficulties at work or school, and relational challenges of all kinds. She has a particular clinical interest in complex trauma and dissociative disorders, in addition to psychosomatic experiencing and animal-assisted interventions. Sara received her Bachelor of Arts (BA) from New York University and completed her Master of Arts (MA) in Mental Health Counseling from CUNY Brooklyn College. She’s worked with individuals of varying ages, cultural backgrounds and socioeconomic statuses in a variety of settings, including Coney Island Hospital’s Behavioral Health Unit, Brooklyn College’s Personal Counseling Center, and private practice. In her spare time, Sara is an avid reader, animal lover, and green tea enthusiast. 

Talia Tehrani

Talia Tehrani, MHC-I, is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at New York University. Her extensive training encompasses a diverse range of counseling skills and a strong dedication to fostering the growth and development of her clients. With a focus on establishing and nurturing therapeutic relationships, Talia demonstrates a genuine commitment to creating an environment where her clients feel validated and motivated to face the complexities of life-head on. Driven by her passion for comprehensive and trauma-informed care, Talia is knowledgeable in a range of therapeutic approaches, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-focused therapy. Talia’s therapeutic style is characterized by empathy and collaboration. She actively works towards fostering a comforting and supportive space where clients can explore their individualized needs. Talia endeavors to make a positive difference in the lives of her clients by empowering them to navigate life’s challenges.

Wayne Glass

Wayne Glass, M.Ed., MHC-I (He/They) received a Masters of Education in Higher Education and Student Affairs from Iowa State University and is currently in his third year as a Mental Health Counseling graduate student at Teachers College, Columbia University. Wayne works to integrate holistic wellness (e.g., mind, body, and spirit) to his practice, and incorporates person-centered/identity-centric modalities. Wayne has extensive experience working with college students, folks within the LGBTQ+ community, and individuals navigating various personal and professional life transitions. Wayne is passionate about specializing in anxiety, depression, and providing trauma-informed care. Wayne also hopes to incorporate fitness/exercise in working with clients.   

Prior to pursuing Mental Health Counseling, Wayne worked in Higher Education as a Student Affairs administrator for nine years and has served as a Group Fitness Instructor since 2009.
